About this organisation
BarkingMad is a South African animal welfare organisation working to create meaningful, lasting change for companion animals and the people and organisations dedicated to their care. Through a growing network of 200+ animal welfare organisations across all nine provinces, BarkingMad connects resources, expertise, people and opportunities where they can make the greatest difference.
From networking animals in need of homes and supporting responsible rehoming, to distributing essential pet food through Click to Feed, BarkingMad works to address both immediate needs and the wider challenges facing the animal welfare sector. Its Shelter Minimum Standards Project is helping drive greater consistency and collaboration across the sector, while Animal Stats SA aims to strengthen animal welfare through better data and shared insight.
